The popular public television series Front and Center will kick off its new season of musical programming April 4 with four CMA Songwriter Series-themed episodes.

Hunter Hayes will be featured on the first episode along with special guest songwriters Barry Dean (Little big Town’s “Pontoon”), Gordie Sampson (Carrie Underwood’s “Just a Dream”) and Lori McKenna (LBT’s “Girl Crush”).

“It was really a privilege to be invited to do a performance during the CMA Songwriters Series,” Hunter says. “Not only did we get the chance to do a different show highlighting the songs and stories behind them, but I had the unique chance to share the stage with three fantastic songwriters who I look up to and admire.”

In the episode airing April 18, Sara Evans and Martina McBride will join forces for CMA Songwriters Series: Ladies Night Out.

“I’ve known Sara for a long time and it was lot of fun to get to share the stage with her,” says Martina. “I also loved the fact that we got to hear from the songwriters themselves. Having them onstage with us made the evening really special.”

Sara agrees and adds, “Getting to share the stage with Martina and all of the amazing writers on public television’s Front and Center and the CMA Songwriter Series was an incredible night that I’ll never forget.”

Additional upcoming episodes will feature Brandy Clark with Bob DiPiero as well as Little Big Town. For more information, check out the Front and Center website.
